These are the dancers from Samahang Kapatid. If someone from their group could email me descriptions of these pictures, I'll put them up so people can better understand what particular dance is being presented.

This non profit organization strives to preserve and promote the Philippine cultural heritage through folk dancing, music, language and songs. They foster awareness and appreciation of the Philippine culture by performing and participating at multicultural festivals, community-sponsored events, schools, churches, and social events.

The formation of the Samahang Kapatid Youth Group began in 1999 when Eisenhower Jr. High School requested that the Filipino American students present the Tinikling at their Biannual Cultural Fair. This mere request turned out to be a discovery of the many hidden talents among the Filipino American youth in our community.

Packages can be purchased at $10 for letter sized prints and $20 for 13"x19" prints. Just send me an email with your order along with your contact information and I can have them ready on the day of the show. We accept cash, check and PayPal. For PayPal, my email address is charlie@purplethumb.com.
